Video Games For Halloween Top 5

Video Games For Halloween Top 5

22nd October 2018 Off By Bagwag82

It’s that time of year again, when things start to get a little spooky. Some of you may be heading out to Halloween parties, while others may be staying in. So if you’re staying in, I’ve put together this list of my top five video games for Halloween. Mwahahaha.

Let kick this haunting list off.

1. Resident Evil 7

This is a must play game for anyone whether it’s Halloween or not. Resident Evil has been stripped right back to what it did best in the earlier titles, survival horror. The first person view really makes this game even scarier. I had to play during the day in the end as I nearly wet my pants.

Great graphics, good storyline and a whole new perspective really brings Resident Evil 7 together to be one of the best horror games in recent years. Oh and to make thing even more terrifying I recommend playing through the whole game with PSVR. Definatly number 1 on my list for video games for Halloween.

2. Outlast

This game came close to the becoming top of my list of video games for Halloween but I only managed to play for 30 minutes before turning it off. Not because it’s a terrible game, it’s not, it’s just that I could cope with the terrifying tension that it create.

Outlast is basically a game of hide and seek with the horrible patients, where you’re trying to escape an asylum. All the while you only have a video camera with a built-in night vision camera you use to see in dark. You have limited battery power so rationing is the key.

3. Alien Isolation

This game is very much the same premise as Outlast. You are trapped on a ship and play a nice friendly game of hide and seek with an alien. You have a handheld detector to let you know how close the alien is to you.

You play as Amanda who gains access to a revolver, a shotgun, a bolt gun, and a flamethrower over the course of the game, Alien: Isolation emphasizes evasion over direct combat by providing limited ammunition.

A very scary game indeed which will make you scream with terror. Now if they could release Alien Isolation in VR. Please.

4. Dead Space

The original Dead Space is the scariest out of all 3 games. The two sequels felt more like action games than sci-fi horror games.

Lots of jump scares and gruesome Necromorphs keep you on your toes. You play Isaac Clarke, a ship systems engineer trying to discover what happened to the crew of an abandoned mining ship.

Highly recommended if you still has an Xbox 360 or PS3 you can dust off.

5. P.T.

Ok so this one only gets a mention because it was a scary demo for what was to be a brand new Silent Hill game. The demo begins with you in a room with a door. You open the door to find yourself in a house with what seems like a neverending loop. You job is to escape the house while being jump scared the whole time.

Created by Kojima Productions and in collaboration with film director Guillermo Del Toro it looked like it could have been something really special indeed.

Unfortunately, the demo has since been removed from the PlayStation store after the game upsettingly got cancelled. If you know someone who has this demo on the console still then it’s worth checking out.

Further Gaming…
