Need for Speed Payback Looks Promising

If you were watching EAs E3 conference you would have seen the official trailer Need for Speed Payback. Now I’m not usually too fussed about the story of that wraps around the racing in any racing games, but NFS Paybacks story does look quite promising. If not just for the fact that it appears the developers have taken the game down the Fast and Furious style route.

Now I’m not usually too fussed about the story that wraps around the racing in any racing games, but NFS Paybacks story does look quite promising. If not just for the fact that it appears the developers have taken the game down the Fast and Furious style route.

The footage shown to the world looked nothing short of stunning graphically. Sparks flew, metal crumpled, paint scratched and it sounded amazing. To top it all off crashes were in slow motion, reminiscent to takedowns from the Burnout series. It got me starting to wonder how much the team were inspired by those games.

The game as I said is fast and it looks furious. Check out the video below.

I’m personally looking forward to Need for Speed Payback. It will be the first NFS game that I’ve purchased since NFS Most Wanted on my PS3. That was an ok game in my eyes. Developed by Criterion I was hoping they would have bought the Burnout magic with them, but they didn’t in my eyes.

I want to see more of this game, in particular, the multiplayer aspect of it. It would be great if I could find a game with an online multiplayer that I can be good at. That means I’m usually rubbish.

Let’s hope that EA can bring the excitement back with this instalment. Need for Speed Payback will launch on XBOX One, Playstation 4 and PC 11th November 2017.
