Crash Bandicoot: N-Sane Trilogy Impression23rd August 2017
Crash Bandicoot, the nostalgia is real. If you are going to remake a game then this is how it is done, take note Final Fantasy 7.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is selling like hot cakes at a Christmas fayre. It is clear to see why it hit the top of the charts over a couple of times since its launch.
Is Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy the Beginning of a Platformer Revolution?
There is obviously a market here for platforming games to really make a comeback.
Earlier this year we saw the likes of Yooka-laylee, a loving tribute to the Banjo-Kazooie series created in part by ex-Rare developers. If we go back to last year Rare released Rare Replay a collection of rare games spanning its long and winding history from Jetpack and Banjo-Kazooie to Kameo and Viva Pinata. These games have all sold well, the appetite is there.
This remake of the Naughty Dog games has been made with love. The presentation has been brought bang up to date with excellent graphics, animation, high definition sound and gameplay that has been recreated that capture the heart and soul of the original games.
Crash Bandicoot Difficulty on another Level
I am still working my way through Crash Bandicoot, which has proved quite a challenge, especially The High Road and Road to Nowhere. Let’s just say that if I had a swear jar I would be saving a hell of a lot of money while playing this game.
The developer’s Vicarious Visions have spoken out on record. They say the games are more challenging. In particular Crash Bandicoot 1.
Crash now jumps faster and even slips easily off the edges of platforms. There have even been analysis videos showing this.
If you think you are buying this as a child-friendly game for your little one expecting them to have an easy ride, then you’d better think again. If adults are finding it difficult then there is no doubt that children will too.
Sometimes a Little Help is all you need
If you are stuck you can watch my YouTube playlist of levels. I am lovingly creating to help you all.
Once I have completed all three games, I don’t think I will manage to play through to gain every trophy. This is due to how difficult some of the levels are although I will have a good go.
I highly recommend adding Crash Bandicoot Nsane Trilogy to your collection. Even after quite a few rage quits.
The game is great fun and challenging at the same time.
